A monitoring system should allow a reviewer to move from a reported removal back through the calculation, the production batch, the laboratory result, the biomass receipt and the final end-use record.
The exact parameters and controls are set by the selected programme and methodology. Designing the system early helps prevent gaps that cannot be repaired after a batch has moved through the supply chain.

Supplier, type, origin, date, weight, moisture and transport evidence.
Equipment, operating period, process conditions, inputs, outputs and energy data.
Sampling record, sample identity, laboratory report and applicable quality parameters.
Storage, dispatch, recipient, quantity, transport and eligible end-use evidence.

Follow one representative batch from receipt to end use. Confirm that identifiers remain intact, measurements are captured at the correct time, evidence can be retrieved and the calculation uses the approved inputs. This exposes practical gaps before the system is relied upon for issuance.
