Buy Emission Reduction Credits
co2balance offer organisations the opportunity to purchase emissions reductions, with competitive terms, direct from a co2balance project.
In addition, co2balance may purchase emission reductions directly from project developers. We may be interested in both voluntary and compliance market credits with the following criteria:
- Ethical emission reductions.
- Volumes of 5,000 tonnes CO2 per annum or greater.
- Recent vintages, looking forwards.

Carbon credits as an investment
Voluntary carbon credits once issued by a project developer are for the purpose of offsetting the residual carbon footprint of a business and are not suitable as an investment. co2balance endorses the position held by ICROA (International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance) that issued voluntary carbon credits (VERs) as an investment is unsuitable for personal investment.
co2balance recommends that any individual that has been approached by a business selling carbon offsets as a personal investment reads the advice on the FSA's website.
